A fortnightly Shopify ops rhythm that actually sticks (themes, integrations, retention)

A lightweight operating cadence for small e-commerce teams: what to review every two weeks so performance, integrations, and messaging do not silently regress.

The storefront gets new apps. A scenario changes. A collection experiment ships. Nobody notices until revenue dips or support blows up.

A fortnightly rhythm is enough to catch drift without turning your team into full-time “website committee”.

Session 1 — Storefront truth (30–45 minutes)

  • Core Web Vitals trend (field data if you have it),
  • recent theme edits and new scripts,

Session 2 — Integrations and ops glue (30–45 minutes)

Review:

  • stuck fulfilment states,

Session 3 — Retention comms sanity (20–30 minutes)

Review:

  • weekly promotional touch counts,
  • unsubscribe/spam complaint signals,
  • and whether transactional comms match fulfilment reality.
